If you have any problems voting, you are welcome to contact val@sverigesingenjorer.se.
Your vote makes a difference – both locally and globally. For every vote cast in the Engineers Election, Sveriges Ingenjörer will donate SEK 10 to Engineers without Borders.
Engineers Without Borders uses engineering expertise to contribute to a more sustainable and equal Hofuture in line with the UN's global development goals. The organisation is active both in Sweden and internationally.
The international work of Engineers Without Borders focuses on ensuring that people's basic needs are met, for example by improving access to clean water and electricity. Within Sweden, the work of the organisation includes increasing awareness and knowledge of the engineering profession among young people and providing support to foreign engineers who are new to the Swedish labour market.
Sveriges Ingenjörer is a member-run organisation. By electing representatives every four years, we ensure that decisions are made about the union's future activities. The representatives elected by you and other members constitute the Engineers Council, the executive council of the association.
As a member, this is your opportunity to influence what issues Sveriges Ingenjörer will pursue by voting for the list or candidate that best represents your interests.
The election takes place through direct democracy, meaning that it is the members who elect the Council. The process is similar to that of the Swedish parliament.
Representatives of student members are elected through a separate process and are not part of this election.
You can influence which people will represent you in decisions concerning the union's future. You are thus also involved in and have influence on the issues that Sveriges Ingenjörer will work with.
You will also contribute to the work of Engineers Without Borders' activities by the association donating SEK 10 per vote.
You vote for a List using a secure digital voting system on the Assembly Voting elections platform. You can also tick a candidate’s individual selection box if there is a particular person that you wish to vote for personally.
You can vote either using a unique secure link that you will receive by e-mail or by going directly to the election platform, where you can log in to vote using your BankID.
If you have any problems voting digitally, you are welcome to contact val@sverigesingenjorer.se.
You can vote multiple times, but you only have one vote. Therefore, if you vote more than once, only your last vote will be counted.
Yes, we have ensured that the supplier of our elections platform (Assembly Voting) complies with all current laws and regulations regarding digital voting. The server for data management is located in Sweden.

You only have one vote. You can cast your vote for either a List or an individual candidate. If you tick the box of an individual candidate, that candidate's List will automatically receive your vote.
The elections platform registers the votes and delivers the election result to Sveriges Ingenjörer’s nomination committee, which verifies and implements the allocation of seats on the Engineers Council using the adjusted odd-number method. When the seats have been allocated according to votes per List, the order of candidates elected on each List is determined on the basis of personal votes received per List candidate.
The election results will be announced by Sveriges Ingenjörer through our usual communication channels no later than 31 May 2022. Members who were candidates and who have been elected to the Engineers Council will be contacted by the nomination committee.
